Manifestations of environmental principles in bridging scientific context, reasoning and behaviour: framework in the development of environmental education programmes in the Philippines

Abstract This study explored the relationship between scientific context (SC), reasoning (SR), and behaviour (SB) across environmental principles to show their significance as essential competencies in development of programmes Philippine K-12 curriculum a process where education has key role play. One hundred seventy-seven high school students from Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro Philippines were selected through cluster purposive probabilistic sampling method. A descriptive normative survey method research was employed this study. The students’ SC had with SR, which is direct indicator SB. sign that SC, SB all work together continuous way. Findings will serve baseline information for framework science, Science curriculum. So, when learn things real world, they gain effect, thought be reason why people act ways are good environment an important goal education.
